A by-election to fill a vacancy on the Okanagan Senate for the remainder of the 2023-2026 triennium (a term ending 31 August 2026) is currently underway. Nominations are open for the following position:
- One (1) Faculty Member Representative of the Faculty of Creative and Critical Studies
Eligibility
For these elections, Faculty of Creative and Critical Studies faculty members with the ranks of Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, Professor of Teaching, Associate Professor of Teaching, Assistant Professor of Teaching, or Lecturer are eligible to be nominated, to nominate candidates, and to vote. Clinical, adjunct, emeritus, sessional, partner, and honorary faculty are not eligible.

Nominations closed at 4 pm on Monday 2 March 2026.

Forms and statements should be scanned and emailed to UBC Elections at elections.information@ubc.ca by the deadline above. Word limits are strictly observed and late nominations will not be accepted. The receipt of all nominations will be confirmed via e-mail within two business days of the close of nominations.
